Description:
Clinical experience in health care integrates concepts that are presented in class with practical clinical education so that students become competent in these radiographic procedures. Students complete contact hours progressing through levels of responsibility/involvement relevant to level of didactic learning. Students move from observation to assisting the technologist, to performing the radiographic procedure under direct supervision, to completing the procedure independently under indirect supervision. This semester will focus on developing clinical skills in the following procedures: spine, thorax, skull, sinuses, facial bones, pediatric procedures, and densitometry including osteoporosis.
