This course is designed to cover the atomic structure and the properties of electricity, electromagnetism, x-ray production, equipment, AEC, x-ray tube, and digital imaging. The students will also cover how to alter exposure factors to control density, contrast, detail and distortion. The concepts presented in class will provide students the information needed to be able to apply the skills directly to their clinical education so that they are able to perform and evaluate the imaging procedures they completing.
