Description:
This course is designed to take the principles covered in the radiographic imaging courses and apply them to x-ray images that have been submitted to the image quality committee. Students will cover principles related to general image quality, such as: density, contrast, distortion, etc. and will be expected to conduct their own quality review of various images that will be provided. Students will meet with the image quality committee during their weekly meetings to sit in and observe and review images with the radiologists to gain a deeper understanding of quality assurance and quality management practices. The concepts presented in class will provide students the information needed to be able to apply the skills directly to their clinical education so that they are able to perform and evaluate the imaging procedures they completing.
