This course focuses on the theory, concepts, and practices of population-focused nursing. Emphasis is placed on culturally sensitive care for individuals, families, and groups in a variety of community settings. Topics include health promotion, disease prevention, health teaching, disaster health, and identification of community resources for implementing change to promote population health. Must be completed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better.
