This course expands on the knowledge and skills developed in Counseling Practice I and II. This course advances students' understanding of interventions for addiction recovery, with a focus on harm reduction strategies and family education and counseling. Special attention is given to the needs of diverse populations to build insight and skills for providing evidence-based culturally competent care. Additionally, the course emphasizes the importance of comprehensive discharge planning, preparing students to create effective transition plans from treatment to sustained recovery. Prerequisites: 'C' or better in SW 3731 AND SW 3732 AND Admission to Substance Use Disorder Treatment Training Certificate Program Corequisites: SW 5733
