The purpose of this course is to increase student's technical and analytical skills and at the same time provide a review of accounting topics so that as professional accountants, students will have the skills to manage data effectively in a variety of accounting positions. Software products like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL, and Tableau will be utilized in this class. Specifically, this course will enhance understanding of AIS data elements and data structures, critical thinking skills, and technical skills through the use of software packages and a variety of accounting topics.
