Description:
The student will be introduced to the applicable regulations issue by the FAA for private pilot privileges. The course will discuss safe and efficient operation of single engine airplanes including collision avoidance, aerodynamics, powerplants, aircraft systems, recognitions and avoidance of wake turbulence, preflight action, takeoff and landing distances, radar and ATC services, and proper radio usage. The student will be introduced to aviation-related meteorology, procuring weather information, interpreting printed and graphic weather products, aircraft performance, weight and balance, planning for cross-country flights, and physiological factors that may affect pilots.
