Prerequisite(s): CMHC 671R taken until 300 practicum hours completed and Admission to Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.S. program. Provides a forum for students to attain clinical experience in which they develop more advanced counseling skills and integrate course knowledge into their work. Requires that this course is repeated until students complete direct and indirect clinical hours as required by DOPL and the CMHC accrediting body. Requires attendance to a one hour per week course group supervision, in addition to the individual and group supervision provided at their internship site. Assists student practice of their clinical skills particularly case conceptualization, treatment planning, and treatment implementation. Allows flexibility for student scheduling, but is typically a 3 credit course. May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits toward graduation.
