This course examines algorithms and theories to solve numerical problems. Topics include linear systems, lu-decomposition, linear programming, differentiation, newton-raphson algorithm, richardson extrapolation, romberg integration, gradients, histograms, entropy, decision trees, random number generation, time series comparison, and visualization. Prerequisite/Restriction: CS 1410 MATH 1210 or MATH 2270
