Genesis, functioning, and development of Middle Eastern economic systems from earliest times to the 19th century. The contribution of these systems to world economic development; emphasis on critical theoretical approaches to the study of Middle Eastern economic history. Prerequisites: (ECON 2010 AND ECON 2020) OR ECON 5530 OR (ECON 1010 AND Instructor Consent)
