This course is designed to prepare students to develop assessment, diagnostic, and evidenced-based interventions to assist those in critical need during and after a crisis or trauma. A crisis is defined as an event that exceeds and overwhelms an individual's coping skills to the point where equilibrium is disrupted. Successful completion of this course qualifies for the Crisis Worker Certificate through the state of Utah.
