As English continues to grow as a language of international communication, there are now more non-native English speakers than native English speakers. Thus, people from around the globe contribute to a variety of World Englishes. This course helps students understand how English has changed over its history and how it continues to evolve. Students also learn about the structure of standard US English and how to analyze English sentences.
