Prerequisite(s): [(SPAN 3030 and SPAN 3040) or SPAN 3050 or instructor approval] and University Advanced Standing. Offers students the opportunity to participate in projects and with organizations in the local Hispanic community. Addresses the linguistic, cultural, historical, and socioeconomic concerns of the Spanish-speaking residents of Utah and surrounding counties. Requires regular activity, including volunteering, in local schools, clinics, social service agencies, or civic organizations. Repeatable for a maximum 6 hours credit toward graduation.
