Prerequisite(s): Admission into any graduate program at Utah Valley University. Examines organizational behavior within the public services and compares and contrasts it to the private sector. Researches the public services to make comparisons and develop a theoretical basis, for use in administrative decision-making in dealing with organizations and their people. Applies conceptual frameworks, case discussions, and skill-oriented activities which include: motivation, learning and development, group dynamics, leadership, communication, power and influence, change, diversity, organizational design, and culture. Helps participants acquire skills and analytic concepts to improve organizational relationships and effectiveness.
