Overview of quantum computer engineering. How quantum computers are fundamentally different from classical computers. Key applications of quantum computers. Topics include qubits, entanglement, EPR paradox, Bell's theorem, Bloch sphere, single-qubit gates, multi-qubit gates, Shor's algorithm, Simon's algorithm. Also covers physical realizations of a quantum computer: photons, polarization, and decoherence.
