Description:
In this studio course, required of all BFA majors in Graphic Design, students will learn essential methods and techniques that inform the creation of visual communications that are at once intelligible and engaging. This course is concerned with the continued building of basic formal and conceptual skills as applied to visual communication, with an emphasis on design process and critical thinking. Students will apply both manual and digital methods towards the completion of theoretical design assignments. Prerequisites: 'B-' or better in (DESGR 1100, DESGR 1600, ART 2205, ART 2206, ART 2207) AND 'C+' or better in at least three of (ART 2201, 2202, 2203, 2204, 2208) AND completion of Graphic Design First-year Review. Corequisites: DESGR 2600
