Topics include surface science, mechanisms of adhesion, surface treatments for bonding, adhesive materials, adhesive solidification, processing of adhesives, mechanical behavior of bonded joints, fracture mechanics of bonded joints. Prerequisite(s): MAE 2160 and MAE 2140 Restriction(s): Admission to the Professional Engineering program.
