Description:
This is the second of two classes providing students with the knowledge required for certification as an aircraft dispatcher. Explores factors necessary to prepare a flight plan such as weather analysis, enroute charts, dispatch release, and emergency/abnormal procedures. Prerequisites: AV 2960 with minimum grade of C (2.0), AV 2320, and AV 2510 To qualify for the dispatcher certification an applicant must be at least 23 years old. Written and knowledge tests can be taken at 21 years of age but students will be unable to receive their dispatch certificate or work as a dispatcher until they turn 23. If students are not 23 years of age when they pass the exams, they will receive a Letter of Aeronautical Competency until they turn 23 years of age.
