Description:
This field-work course is an extension of CSD 2600: Serving Diverse Populations with Communication Needs. This course is designed to maintain ongoing support for Community Engaged Learning (CEL) partners previously established during CSD 2600 as well as establish new community partners. Students will serve underserved individuals who may be culturally and linguistically diverse, have special needs, or be marginalized due to life circumstances. Students will gain a deeper understanding of health and educational disparities in various communities. In addition, students will learn how to identify and work towards reducing barriers experienced by individuals marginalized in the community. Prerequisites: 'C-' or better in CSD 2600 OR Instructor Consent
