This course is an introductory course in to the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).The course reviews the antecedents of modern industrial safety going back to ancient origins, the industrial revolution to the current day. The course includes a series of important topics in injury prevention including prevention of fires, falls, accidents, chemical injuries and other workplace problems. The goal is to teach broad principles and to enable students to recognize when they and others may be in danger regardless of their industry or profession.
