This course aims to develop advanced Japanese language skills and cultural competence through content-based learning. Course materials include literary texts, film and television, news articles and broadcasts, manga, anime, and other media in Japanese, organized around a theme of relevance to contemporary Japan. Taught in Japanese, with occasional discussions of social and cultural issues in English. Prerequisites: JAPAN 3050 or JAPAN 3060, or equivalent Prerequisites: JAPAN 3050 OR JAPAN 3060 OR equivalent
