Private instruction for music students in conducting. Twelve 50-minute lessons per semester, plus opportunities for additional interaction, depending on the needs and interests of the student and teacher. Conducting an ensemble in a performance and/or rehearsal required. Course may be repeated for a maximum of 4 credits. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Conduct with technical proficiency. 2. Conduct with appropriate artistry and interpretation. 3. Demonstrate musical literacy through relevant style and performance practices. 4. Demonstrate creative and engaging leadership. Prerequisites: MUSC 3222 or MUSC 3380 (Grade C or higher). FA, SP
