This course examines educational policy, practice, and materials using a variety of lenses informed by diversity and social justice needs of schools; investigates ways in which biases (racism, sexism, economic injustice, heterosexism, ageism) and other forms of discrimination influence schools and educational access and opportunity for students and strives to provide deeper understanding of the needs of all students; and considers and practices what educational leaders can do to ensure that all students have equitable educational opportunities, regardless of culture, identity, or learning need.
