Course covers systematics, evolution, taxonomy, anatomy, and physiology of fishes. Students learn fish diversity, how anatomical and physiological adaptations allow species to succeed in challenging environments, and how fishes' physiology can make them susceptible to anthropogenic changes. Includes labs/field trips. Additional coursework required for graduate-level course.
