Designed to provide science and engineering students with a sufficient knowledge of law to enable them to recognize and deal with legal problems which may arise in the fields of science, engineering, or technical management. Topics covered include courts, trial procedures, evidence, contract law, engineering contracts, agency, patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, product liability, employer/employee law, business law including corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, etc. Prerequisites: 'C-' or better in CVEEN 3100 OR HONOR 3200 AND Full Major status in Civil Engineering OR Construction Engineering.
