    For students who are non-swimmers or beginning swimmers. Basic water safety skills and knowledge, and beginning swimming strokes skills will be introduced. This course will assist in overcoming fear of the water, provide practice in breath control, give practice in maintaining prone and supine positions in the water, teach proper water entry, introduce personal safety skills, and give instruction on beginning swimming strokes.     This course is intended to teach skills to safely conduct open water dives. Skills include: buoyancy, proper weighting, marine conservation, equipment assembly, proper dive planning and maintenance. Classes will be conducted at an off campus designated location. This course will include books and equipment rental for registered class/pool sessions and for scheduled Open Water dives. The only additional costs will be for transportation/food/lodging/crater fee for the Open Water dive. Not enrolled in a high school program.

    This is an introductory class to self-defense that provides the knowledge, awareness, skill proficiency, and teaching techniques necessary to defend yourself in different settings. Not enrolled in a high school program.

    Focuses on slow movements used to improve balance, coordination, concentration, awareness and timing. The student will learn the short form of Tai Chi Chuan and focus the mind on the body during exercise, sports and daily life. Not enrolled in a high school program.

    This course is designed to improve overall stamina, strength, and cardiovascular fitness for participants through boxing and kickboxing movements. Each class will include, but is not limited to, a warm up, variable boxing and kickboxing rounds on a heavy bag, active rest, core work, and a cool down. Not enrolled in a high school program.
