  Advanced Stage Combat places an emphasis on the basic skills and tools necessary for the actor whose focus is working in the film, television, gaming, and motion capture industries. On camera work and an introduction to motion capture will be incorporated. Students will have the opportunity to take a Skills Proficiency Test for certification. Students learn to execute advanced makeup techniques including old age stipple, mold making for foam latex prosthetics, prosthetics construction and application, and ventilating. Students will learn basic and intermediate scenic artist painting techniques that are used for both stage and film scenic production. Each student conducts individual research on the play of her choice. Honors students create program notes and a lobby display for a production in the Theatre Department's current or upcoming season.
