This course provides in-depth practical experience with shampooing, scalp treatments, manicuring, haircutting, hairstyling, permanent waving, facials, massaging, esthetic procedures, hair extension applications, care and styling of wigs, haircoloring, chemical relaxing, hair lightening, retail sales, appointment booking, and phone skills, The Utah State Board of Cosmetology/Barbering mandates 2000 clocked hours. Students perform services in a salon setting. This course has a service learning component. Corequisite:    COSB 2101
