  • 0.00 - 3.00 Credits

The emphasis of this course is comprehensive coverage of design fundamentals and procedures used to represent design ideas using traditional, as well as state of the art technology. It covers the solving of problems related to the design of a residential structure and considers the influence of building cost, modular applications, building codes, and zoning regulations with respect to the site and design.
  • 0.00 - 3.00 Credits

The emphasis of this course is the application of fundamental drafting techniques in making mechanical detail and assembly drawings. Topics include advanced dimensioning and tolerancing, presicion fits, threads and fasteners, detail, and assembly drawings, Traditional and computer assisted drafting will be used for assignments.
  • 0.00 - 3.00 Credits

This course teaches drafting using Computer Aided Drafting software system. It includes enough exposure to the Windows operating system to create and manage files, create and read directories, and integrate CAD software as it applies to drawing files. It also includes using CAD commands to create drawings with various lines and shapes, using drawing display options, placing test on drawings, printing and plotting drawing files, using the editing commands, and using basic dimensioning.
  • 0.00 - 4.00 Credits

This is a course in advanced CAD operations to include advanced dimensioning and tolerancing concepts, sectioning, creating symbols and symbol libraries, using external files, and creating bills of materials with appropriate documentation. Also included is the creation of isometric drawings, the use of advanced CAD applications and customizing systems, and an introduction to three-dimensional drawings.
  • 0.00 - 3.00 Credits

This course covers the principles of algebra and geometry as they apply to problem solving in the Career abd Technical Education (CTE) division programs. It includes the quadratiac equation, exponents and radicals, polynomials, constructions of geometric shapes, the circle concept, and applilcations of volume and shapes.
  • 1.00 - 6.00 Credits

This course provides an oppourtunity for students to apply knowledge and techniques learned in the classroom to actual job experience. Classroom instruction must precede the job experience or the student must be registered for courses at the same time the student is enrolled in the work experience.
  • 0.00 - 2.00 Credits

This course introduces students to basic pipe drafting, including terms and symbols used in both single-line pipe drawings. It includes fittings and connections, such as welded, screwed, soldered, flanged, and bell or spigot. It also uses the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) to develop drawings.
  • 0.00 - 4.00 Credits

The emphasis of this course is working in three-dimensional (3D) space using an object-based designer software program. Students will create 3D models of buildings from mass elements and use this conceptual design process to create refined building systems and construction documents.
  • 0.00 - 4.00 Credits

The course will introduce the student to the 3D modeling process and 3D parametric modeling. It will present a process-based approach to mechanical drafting using solid modeling commands, options, and techniques. Students will experience the power of solid modeling with a parametric modeling program, as they complete parts, assembllies and working drawings.
