Introduces the three analytical processes in the intelligence cycle: intelligence preparation of the battlefield, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, and targeting. Leverages analytical products associated with these processes such as PMESII, ASCOPE, Link-Pattern-Nodal analysis, threat characteristics, threat objectives, threat templates, the oil spot, and the situation template.
