Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing. Examines current environmental problems' political character, attempts to comprehend their causes, and discusses how governments, organizations, movements, communities, and individuals are responding to environmental degradation and the rapidly escalating climate crisis. Identifies and analyzes the guiding principles that inform policy choices and the different tools available to policymakers to address these challenges, with a focused examination of state government, federalism, and the roles of the three branches of the national government.
