As a comprehensive regional state university that also retains a community college mission, Weber State serves as an educational, cultural and economic center for its region. WSU offers associate, baccalaureate and selected master degree programs in a broad variety of liberal arts, sciences, technical and professional fields. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    No minimum GPA required for admission, but GPA requirements can vary for acceptance into certain degree programs.
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school transcripts are required if applying with less than 30 semester credits. College transcripts from every institution attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT and/or SAT tests aren’t required for admission. The scores will help determine your scholarship eligibilty, and math and English placement, so if you have them, send them in.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are not required.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    An associates degree is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    For a number of programs, students must submit a separate application and fee and must meet additional admission requirements specific to that program.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    WSU accepts all courses at a 1000 level or above with a minimum grade of a D- toward the total University credit requirement. However, it is up to each individual department what grades they are willing to accept toward their major.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no maximum limit on transfer credits; however, you must earn 45 quarter/30 semester credits in residence at Weber State to receive an associate or a bachelor's degree.
