This course explores attitudes and beliefs related to visual impairment and blindness, emphasizing the impact of vision loss on the psychosocial functioning of individuals and their families. Students study self-concept, self-esteem, and strategies to enhance these areas in visually impaired children. Prerequisite(s): SPED 5010, SPED 5070, SPED 5105, SPED 5140, SPED 5170, and SPED 5180 ; with a grade of B- or higher; Teacher Education and Special Education program admission Repeatable for credit: No Grade Mode: Standard
